The anemometer is made for the measurement of the capacity characteristics of wind power systems, the evaluation of location, and the acquisition of the horizontal component of wind velocity in the fields of meteorology and environmental measuring technology. Every criterion of IEC 61400-12-1 (2005-12) for an instrument of accuracy class 0.5 is satisfied by the anemometer.
Special characters are developed and optimized for dynamic behavior at low beginning value, less overspeeding, and strong turbulence intensity. The output contains a digital signal that represents the measurement value. It can be sent to process control systems, data loggers, display instruments, recording instruments, and data loggers.
It has an electrically controlled heater that ensures the ball bearings work smoothly and keeps the shaft and slot from freezing up during winter operation.
