Category: Cup Anemometer
The wind transmitter is designed for use in wind energy, meteorology, and environmental monitoring. The anemometer was designed to gather the following measured variables: the horizontal component of wind velocity; absolute and relative air pressure; the inclination angle between the Z-axis and the vertical; the inclination angle between the X-axis and the horizontal; the frequency and acceleration on the X-, Y-, and Z-axes; and the housing interior temperature.
A defined and optimized dynamic behavior even in extremely strong turbulence, little overspeeding, a low beginning value, and an optimized oblique inflow behavior are further features.
This sensor is distinguished by an integrated adjustment of the influence of air density on the rotation velocity of the cup star, particularly in its features. The gadget has a digital interface in the form of an RS485 interface in half-duplex mode. The interface, in conjunction with ID-based communication, permits the functioning of the wind transmitter in a bus. Two data protocols are available:
For winter operation, the device can be equipped with an electronically controlled heater, which provides a barely measurable friction moment of the ball bearings in low temperatures and prevents ice buildup on the shaft and gap.
