The WPG200 Weighing Precipitation Gauge is a high-precision precipitation monitoring instrument designed to accurately measure liquid, solid, and mixed precipitation in a single system. Unlike conventional tipping bucket rain gauges, the WPG200 uses a weighing principle to continuously determine precipitation accumulation and intensity, making it suitable for all weather conditions.
The instrument utilizes three precision load cells and advanced digital signal processing to detect weight variations within the collection tank. Integrated temperature compensation ensures reliable measurements while automatically converting collected precipitation into accurate hydrological and meteorological data outputs.
Constructed from white-painted anticorodal aluminium alloy, the WPG200 is designed for long-term outdoor operation in meteorological, hydrological, environmental, and climate monitoring networks. Its low power consumption, multiple communication interfaces, and compatibility with wind shields such as the Alter screen make it particularly suitable for remote and research-grade monitoring installations.
