The R-Si Silicon Photodiode Pyranometer is a compact solar radiation sensor designed for accurate measurement of global solar irradiance in renewable energy, meteorological, and environmental monitoring applications. It utilizes a precision silicon photodiode that provides a wide field of view of approximately 180° while following the cosine response required for reliable solar radiation measurements.
Designed in accordance with ISO 9060 and WMO recommendations, the R-Si delivers fast response, excellent stability, and dependable measurement accuracy under clear sky conditions. Its low-offset silicon sensing technology makes it particularly suitable for photovoltaic performance monitoring, solar resource assessment, and weather station applications where rapid response is essential.
The sensor is manufactured with an anodized aluminium body and stainless steel screws, providing IP67 protection for long-term outdoor operation. It can be supplied with analog voltage output as well as optional 0-2VDC, 4-20mA, and RS485 ModBus interfaces for seamless integration with weather stations, solar monitoring systems, SCADA platforms, and data loggers.
