The PL400 Class A Tipping Bucket Rain Gauge is a professional precipitation measurement instrument designed for meteorological, hydrological, environmental, and climate monitoring applications. Built with a 400 cm² collection area and a precision stainless steel tipping bucket mechanism, the sensor delivers highly accurate rainfall measurements under a wide range of precipitation conditions.
The instrument utilizes a rugged magnetic switch and knife-blade bucket support system to ensure reliable operation, low friction, and long-term measurement stability. The specially designed funnel and filtering system optimize water flow into the tipping bucket while minimizing measurement errors caused by splashing, turbulence, and mechanical interference.
Manufactured according to WMO recommendations and available with Class A certification under UNI 11452:2012 and UNI 17277:2020 standards, the PL400 is suitable for professional weather stations, hydrological networks, research projects, and environmental monitoring systems. Optional heating and multiple output configurations allow deployment in both standard and cold-climate installations.
