The PL1000 Class A Tipping Bucket Rain Gauge is a professional precipitation monitoring instrument designed for meteorological, hydrological, climatological, and environmental monitoring applications. Featuring a large 1000 cm² collection area, the sensor provides highly accurate rainfall measurements and improved collection efficiency during varying precipitation intensities.
The instrument incorporates a precision stainless steel tipping bucket mechanism mounted on a knife-blade support system to ensure stable operation, low friction, and long-term measurement reliability. A specially engineered funnel and filtering assembly efficiently direct rainfall into the tipping bucket while minimizing interference and measurement errors caused by splashing or turbulence.
Manufactured according to WMO recommendations and available with Class A certification under UNI 11452:2012 and UNI 17277:2020 standards, the PL1000 is suitable for professional weather stations, hydrological networks, environmental monitoring systems, and scientific research projects. Optional heating and multiple output configurations provide flexibility for operation in both standard and cold-climate environments.
