Model: MeteoTemp RH+T+P | Make: Barani Design |
Category: Temperature Sensor
MeteoTemp RH+T is a sensor that measures temperature, relative humidity, and pressure. The “RH” in the name stands for relative humidity, while the “T” stands for temperature. The sensor is designed to measure these three parameters in a wide range of environments, including outdoor and indoor settings. The added benefit of measuring pressure makes it a versatile tool for various industries, such as meteorology and atmospheric science, but also in industrial and HVAC applications.
Temperature is a fundamental physical property that measures the average kinetic energy of the particles in a substance. It is typically measured in degrees Celsius or degrees Fahrenheit. The sensor in MeteoTemp RH+T uses a thermistor, which is a type of resistor that changes resistance based on temperature. This change in resistance is then converted into a temperature measurement.
Relative humidity is a measure of the amount of water vapor present in the air, relative to the amount of water vapor the air could hold at a given temperature. It is expressed as a percentage. When the relative humidity is 100%, the air is said to be saturated and cannot hold any more moisture. The sensor in MeteoTemp RH+T uses a hygrometer, which is a device that measures the relative humidity of the air.
Pressure is another fundamental physical property, which is a measure of the force exerted on a surface per unit area. It is typically measured in units of atmospheres, bars, or Pascals. In MeteoTemp RH+T the pressure is measure with a barometer, a device that uses the principle of hydrostatic pressure to measure the force exerted by the atmosphere on a surface.
The MeteoTemp RH+T sensor can provide accurate and reliable measurements of temperature, relative humidity, and pressure in a wide range of environments. With its ability to measure pressure, this device is a valuable tool for applications such as weather forecasting, atmospheric science, industrial process control, and HVAC systems. The sensor can be integrated into various systems and devices, such as weather stations, data loggers, and control systems, to provide real-time measurements of these three parameters.
MeteoTemp RH+T with pressure: 3-in-1 sensor probe with the same form factor as the above 2-in-1 probe. Adds Pressure to the already superb Temperature, Humidity, Dew Point and Frost Point probe without increasing power consumption to maintain the same WMO accuracy requirements for Temperature and Humidity. Features a highly reliable sealed barometric pressure transducer in the sensor head. Also features triple lightning protection and Surge Transient & ESD protection.
Ultra-low power performance is not affected by the addition of a pressure sensor. Total combined power consumption remains around 800 µA, with the addition of only 20 µA by the pressure sensor to maintain the 5x advantage over most meteorological temperature and humidity probes.
