The DVE Wind Direction Sensor is a professional-grade instrument designed to provide highly accurate wind direction measurements for meteorological, environmental, and industrial monitoring applications. Utilizing a high-resolution 12-bit magnetic encoder, the sensor delivers precise 360° wind direction measurements without the mechanical wear associated with traditional contact-based systems.
Its aerodynamic vane design offers excellent dynamic response and extremely low friction, enabling fast and reliable wind direction tracking even under low wind speed conditions. Manufactured from anodized aluminium and stainless steel, the sensor is engineered to withstand harsh outdoor environments and wind gusts of up to 300 km/h.
Compliant with WMO and EN 15518-3:2011 standards, the DVE supports voltage, current, and ModBus RS485 communication outputs for seamless integration with automatic weather stations, SCADA systems, environmental monitoring networks, and wind resource assessment projects. An optional low-power heated version ensures dependable operation in cold-weather environments.
