Category: Net Radiometer
The RSN Net Radiometer Sensor is a professional thermopile-based instrument designed to accurately measure net solar radiation by determining the difference between incoming global solar radiation and the radiation reflected from the Earth's surface. This measurement is essential for evaluating the surface energy balance and calculating evapotranspiration in environmental and agricultural applications.
Designed in accordance with WMO recommendations, the RSN provides reliable and stable measurements across a broad spectral range from 0.2µm to 110µm. Its precision thermopile sensing technology delivers accurate net radiation measurements with excellent long-term performance, making it suitable for meteorological observations, environmental monitoring, and scientific research.
The sensor is constructed from durable Teflon, anodized aluminium, and stainless steel for long-term outdoor operation in harsh environments. Supporting thermopile, analog voltage, current, and RS485 ModBus communication, the RSN integrates seamlessly with weather stations, data loggers, SCADA systems, and environmental monitoring networks. It is particularly suitable for evaporation studies using the Penman-Monteith algorithm.
