The RSG VU Heating and Ventilation Unit is a dedicated accessory developed for NESA RSG2std Secondary Standard Class A Pyranometers. It is designed to maintain the sensor dome under optimum operating conditions by combining continuous ventilation with low-power heating, ensuring reliable solar radiation measurements in both hot and cold climates.
The integrated ventilation system improves measurement accuracy by equalizing the pyranometer temperature, preventing dew and frost formation on the optical dome, and reducing measurement offset caused by dome cooling. Under severe winter conditions, the heating function can be activated to remove snow and ice from the dome, allowing uninterrupted operation.
Compact, lightweight, and easy to install, the RSG VU is manufactured for continuous outdoor use and fully complies with ISO 9060 and WMO recommendations. It is an ideal accessory for professional meteorological stations, climate monitoring systems, and solar energy measurement installations requiring maximum pyranometer performance.
