The PTN Snow Temperature Profiler is a professional multi-point temperature monitoring system designed to measure temperature variations throughout the snowpack. Equipped with twelve high-accuracy Pt100 1/5 DIN temperature sensors distributed over a 250 cm profile, the system provides detailed temperature measurements from ground level to the upper snow layers.
Each sensing element is mounted on an adjustable radial arm, allowing the sensors to remain fully immersed within the snow while minimizing thermal interference between adjacent measurement points. The interchangeable sensors feature IP68 connectors for easy replacement, while the angled support arms help reduce snow accumulation during melting conditions.
Manufactured according to WMO standards, the PTN is constructed from white-painted aluminium alloy with stainless steel hardware for long-term outdoor durability. Its high measurement accuracy, calibration certification, and maintenance-free design make it an ideal solution for snow research, avalanche forecasting, hydrological studies, and alpine meteorological monitoring.
