The Module Temperature Sensor-PT1000 with 4-20 mA Output is a high-precision temperature sensor designed to measure temperature in industrial and process control applications. It utilizes the PT1000 RTD (Resistive Temperature Detector) technology, which is known for its accuracy, stability, and wide temperature range. The sensor converts the measured temperature into a 4-20 mA current output, a standard analog signal widely used in industrial systems for reliable data transmission over long distances.

  • The PT1000 RTD sensor consists of a platinum element, which has a well-documented and predictable resistance-to-temperature relationship. As the temperature increases, the resistance of the platinum element increases proportionally.
  • This change in resistance is then measured and converted into a 4-20 mA current signal:
    • 4 mA represents the lowest temperature in the sensor’s measurement range (e.g., -200°C or the specified minimum).
    • 20 mA represents the highest temperature in the sensor’s range (e.g., +850°C or the specified maximum).
  • The output signal is linear across the temperature range, meaning that as the temperature increases, the current increases smoothly from 4 mA to 20 mA. This linearity makes it easy to interpret the temperature reading based on the current signal.

The Module Temperature Sensor-PT1000 with 4-20 mA Output is a high-precision temperature sensor based on the RTD PT1000 technology. It provides a 4-20 mA analog output, making it ideal for industrial applications where accurate temperature measurement and long-distance signal transmission are essential. The 4-20 mA output is immune to electrical noise, and the linearity of the signal simplifies integration into PLC systems, SCADA networks, and other automation tools for real-time temperature monitoring and control.
