Category: Albedometer
The ALB Class C Albedometer is a professional solar radiation sensor designed to accurately measure surface albedo by simultaneously monitoring incoming global solar radiation and the solar radiation reflected from the ground. The instrument incorporates two Class C thermopile pyranometers mounted back-to-back, enabling precise calculation of surface reflectance for environmental, agricultural, and solar energy applications.
Designed in accordance with WMO recommendations, the ALB provides reliable measurements across the 0.3µm to 3µm spectral range while offering stable long-term performance for continuous outdoor monitoring. Its compact construction and multiple output options make it suitable for integration into weather stations, research networks, and solar monitoring systems.
Manufactured from anodized aluminium and stainless steel, the sensor is built to withstand demanding outdoor environments. It supports natural thermopile, analog voltage, current, and RS485 ModBus communication, allowing seamless integration with data loggers, SCADA systems, and environmental monitoring platforms. Each instrument is supplied with an individual calibration certificate and instrument calibration constant.
