Category: Albedometer
The ALB-2 Class A Albedometer is a professional solar radiation instrument designed to accurately measure surface albedo by simultaneously monitoring incoming global solar radiation and reflected solar radiation. The sensor consists of two Class A thermopile pyranometers mounted back-to-back, allowing precise calculation of surface reflectance for meteorological, climatological, and solar energy applications.
Built according to WMO recommendations, the ALB-2 delivers highly accurate measurements with excellent long-term stability and low non-linearity across the 0.3µm to 3µm spectral range. Its dual-sensor configuration provides reliable data for studies involving land surface energy balance, snow and ice reflectivity, agricultural monitoring, and photovoltaic performance evaluation.
Constructed from anodized aluminium and stainless steel, the ALB-2 is engineered for continuous outdoor operation in demanding environmental conditions. It supports natural thermopile, analog voltage, current, and RS485 ModBus communication, enabling seamless integration with weather stations, environmental monitoring systems, SCADA platforms, and research data loggers.
