Category: Albedometer
The ALB-1 Class B Albedometer is a professional solar radiation instrument designed to accurately measure surface albedo by simultaneously monitoring incoming global solar radiation and the radiation reflected from the ground. It incorporates two Class B thermopile pyranometers mounted back-to-back, enabling precise measurement of surface reflectance for meteorological, environmental, agricultural, and solar energy applications.
Designed in accordance with WMO recommendations, the ALB-1 delivers highly reliable measurements across the 0.3µm to 3µm spectral range with excellent long-term stability and low non-linearity. Its dual-sensor construction ensures dependable albedo measurements for climate studies, land surface energy balance analysis, snow and ice monitoring, and photovoltaic performance assessment.
Manufactured from anodized aluminium and stainless steel, the ALB-1 is engineered for continuous outdoor operation under demanding environmental conditions. It supports natural thermopile, analog voltage, current, and RS485 ModBus communication, allowing seamless integration with weather stations, environmental monitoring systems, SCADA platforms, and research data loggers. Each instrument is supplied with an individual calibration certificate and instrument calibration constant.
